Product Description:
The underground population of witches, vampires, werewolves—creatures of dreams and nightmares—has lived beside humans for centuries, hiding their powers. But after a genetically engineered virus wipes out a large part of humanity, many of the "Inderlanders" reveal themselves, changing everything.
Rachel Morgan, witch and bounty hunter with the Inderland Runner Services, is one of the best at apprehending supernatural lawbreakers throughout Cincinnati, but when it comes to following the rules, she falls desperately short. Determined to buck the system, she quits and takes off on the run with an I.S. contract on her head and is reluctantly forced to team up with Ivy, Inderland's best runner . . . and a living vampire. But this witch is way out of her league, and to clear her name, Rachel must evade shape-changing assassins, outwit a powerful businessman/crime lord, and survive a vicious underground fight-to-the-death . . . not to mention her own roommate.

I got hooked from the beginning. This series is an action packed romance with a fabulous butt kicking witch. What else could you ask for?

I got this book because it was free on kindle and had decent reviews. I read the 3* reviews and the 5* reviews and as a whole I think the 3* reviews capture the problems extremely well. The 5* reviews that start off with "kim harrison's debut novel" have to be faked or paid for or something. You can tell the reviews that are written by people just interested in the book and the ones that are trying to sell the book. Im starting to see this more and more with amazon books so Im starting to distrust ... Read More

I needed something new to read and decided to give this one a try. I am a big fan of Patricia Briggs and Karen Marie Moning, so books with an "unnatural twist" appeal to me. I really liked this book. The pace is fast, the storyline isn't old & re-tread, and the author doesn't tie everything up nice and neat at the end with a big pink ribbon like some books. I look forward to reading more of this series same.

Dead Witch Walking is a fun romp with a White Witch named Rachel.
She's been kicked out of a government agency similar to the F.B.I. but with all agents being supernatural; like werewolves, vampires, and in Rachel's case a witch.
Her old agency is now out to kill her. Her best friend and one of her partners is a vampire whom Rachel is not sure if she wants to drink her blood.
Her other partner is a macho pixie. He may be small in stature but he's big of heart ... Read More
