Product Description: Junie B. is a very grown-up little lady. So how come everyone treats her like a baby? It's not fair. But Junie B. knows just how to fix the situation. Her aunt Flo is getting married. What a perfect chance for Junie B. to show everyone how grown-up she is! Too bad she wasn't picked to be the flower girl in the wedding so she could really show off. But surely Junie B. can still find some way to get everyone's attention.

I have to admit that the stories themselves are very cute and my 6 year old daughter enjoys the story of each and every book. However, I cringe every time I sit down to help my 1st grader read one of these teacher assigned books. The English in these books is horrible. The occassional use of the wrong word or making up a word can be cute. But this author regularly uses wrong words, wrong tenses, and even makes up words in common ways that kids can easily do when not educated properly.

My 1st grader brought this book home from the school library. I don't get the popularity of this series at all. First, it's above a first grade reading level and I believe that's how old Junie B is supposed to be. Next, the grammar is horrible. I understand it's supposed to sound like she wrote it, but I never understand why you want kids to read incorrectly spelled words, incorrect verb tenses, etc. How does that help them improve? Moreover, I think Junie B. is very fresh - calling her father stupid ... Read More

This is definitely my 1st review towards anything so negative about anything. I have to admit the story of the book is quite funny and it's very lively for 6 years old to follow and be interested to read on. However I have to agree with other reviewers who think the book is using grammatically incorrect or even words that doesn't exist (e.g. bajillion) and as well as some words I prefer not seeing in the book (e.g. darn thing). Anyway it's probably something I won't mind my daughter reading since she ... Read More

My granddaughter wants this book for a Christmas present so I ordered it. The price was fair, the book was new as stated and it arrived as promised. On the Internet, things don't always happen smoothly - this time it did. I have order many books from Amazon.COM and highly recommend when you need a book you can trust Amazon. Bart

How should you behave is somebody gets something that you wanted for yourself? Well, you sure shouldn't wish on a star for them to get sick, like Junie does.
Junie B. Jones is (almost) a Flower Girl is one of the best of Barbara Park's books. The irrepressible kindergartner is, once again, filled with misconceptions and in need of some good correction in her behavior.
Parents and children will roar with laughter at her exploits, and talk about how things really should be done! ... Read More
