Product Description:
Tough minded Jessica Trent's sole intention is to free her nitwit brother from the destructive influence of Sebastian ballister, the notorious Marquess of Diain. She never expects to desire the arrogant, amoral cad. And When Daines reciprical passion places them in a scandously compromising, and public, position, Jessica is left with no choice but to seek satisfaction...
Dawn the minx for tempting him, kissing him...and then for forcing him to salvage reputation! Lord Dain can't wait to put the infuriating bluestocking in her place -- and in some amorous position. And if this means marriage, so be it -- though sebastian is less than certain he can continue to remian aloof...and stell his heart to the sensuous, head strong lady's considerable charms.

This book was a refreshing breath of air! The witty banter between the Jess and Dain is too funny! I absolutely loved this book. I will read this book many times in my life. Highly recommended book.

Fantastic dialogue and great characters elevate this book to the "read again" tier. It's witty, quite funny at times, and has an emotional depth that is very rare in the genre. Chase manages to take the stock character of the "Rake" and really add something special to the mix.

You know, once in a while you come across a book that shows you how it's supposed to be done. For those of the Romantic genre, "Lord of Scoundrels" has it all.
I bought this book based on the wave of excellent reviews, having never read anything of Loretta Chase before. I didn't expect to become totally enamored with the hero and heroine of the story, but I did. Dain is the wonderful, conflicted, dark hero, and Jessica is the heroine who I would love to aspire to be. She's smart, lovely, ... Read More

I had not read Loretta Chase before but I read the good reviews on Amazon and took a chance. I'm glad I did. I really liked this book. It had my favorite type of hero, you know the kind that is tortured by their past and does not think they are deserving of love. The heroine was very original and I loved her personality. I can't believe some of the things she says and does. It was refreshing and a hoot.

this is one of my favorite books of all time, and my faves are culled from diverse genres (classic/romance/fiction/nonfiction/etc). this is great writing. witty characters with diverting dialogue, flawed and imperfect in their own way and so very interesting and entertaining because of these attributes. the backstory of the hero is a little heartbreaking but necessary in establishing his personality as an adult, which is rather rough around the edges. the chemistry between the 2 leads is pitch perfect. ...
