I've started the series from the beginning with "Beyond the Highland Mist", next was Moning's "To Tame a Highland Warrior". Those two books were good reads but lacked a certain finesse. Moning seems to have honed in on her skills as a writer as this book is written far better than her first two. I think she needs to explain herself a little better in her books about the fairies and the alternate worlds. It's still a bit convoluted. This is definitely my favorite book of her series so far.

One of the best in the series, The Highlander's Touch is an intriguing blend of magic, adventure, suspense, and romance. The story was sensational--couldn't put it down. It completely pulled me in! The characters were engaging and interesting. I won't give a detailed synopsis since it was already done well in other posts, but just wanted to add my recommendations for this excellent series.

Can I just say hot, hot, hot? I have read the Karen Marie Moning Fever series and loved it. But, this series is way different. Honestly, doesn't even seem like the same author. This book is fantasy to the nth degree. I can't say enough about it. I really enjoyed the story line, the characters, the writing, everything! Just started Kiss of the Highlander and I just know I won't be disappointed.

As a fairly recent but HUGE fan of Moning's Fever series, I thought I'd give the Highlander series a try. I knew going in that the two series are vastly different, but hoped that some of the things that truly make the Fever series stand out to me would cross over. I was pleased that they did.
