Editorial Review:

Product Description:
Now Available in a box set-the first four Dark Tower Books -- with new material from the author!

The Gunslinger
The Drawing of the Three
The Waste Lands
Wizard and Glass

In this brilliant series, Stephen King introduced readers to one of his most enigmatic heroes, Roland of Gilead, The Last Gunslinger. Roland's quest for the Dark Tower took readers on a wildly epic ride-through parallel worlds and across time. A classic tale of colossal scope-crossing over terrain from The Stand, The Eyes of the Dragon, Insomnia, The Talisman, Black House, Hearts in Atlantis, Salem's Lot, and other familiar King haunts-the adventure took hold with the turn of each page...

In a major publishing event, the quest for the Dark Tower continues in Wolves of the Calla (Volume V), Song of Susannah (Volume VI), and The Dark Tower (Volume VII), coming from Scribner, beginning in November 2003.

Now readers can go back to where it all began with this box set of the first four Dark Tower titles, each featuring a new packaging and new introduction. Plus Book I, The Gunslinger, has been completely revised and expanded throughout.

Average Rating: out of 5 stars

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Love!
I absolutely love these books. I will read them many times, I'm sure. If anything, I would say the first book, the Gunslinger, starts the series out a little slow, but even that book is very good, and the books only get better the more you read.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Nice boxed set
The shipping was really fast, got it a few days before estimated delivery date. The illustrations are all good quality, as is the box the books are in. I would purchase this again. The price was great for all four books.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - A very interesting piece
As usual SK hits it out of the park with his vivid imagination and ideas!

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Great Read!
Second time around for this series. Nice not having to wait this time. Some of the best work by SK. $18 for first four is a steal.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Caution: Will make you lose countless hours of sleep
This book series is simply amazing. Book after book King throws out a pure masterpiece. Harry Potter? LOTR? NO! Dark Tower whomps those series' as King manages to combine several fantasy worlds with the real world. King's past of creating very high suspense in his thrillers swirls in with unconventional-to-king genres such as western and fantasy(despite some fantasy attempts such as "eye of the dragon" which I do NOT recommend..)

The main character is very "clint eastwood"-ish. ... Read More
