This was my first experience of the Blackbird sisters, so I can't judge whether (as some other reviewers have said) this was the last good one before the author's inspiration began to wane. My impression was that the author (perhaps under pressure to produce) didn't really have enough ideas worked out to sustain a full-length book. It's pleasant enough "frothy" reading, but the villains are almost excerpts from Victorian melodrama (I don't think they actually twiddled mustachios, but they were ... Read More

If you have been reading the series as I have, you can stop after this book. It is as good as the first three: How to Murder a Millionaire, Dead Girls Don't Wear Diamonds and Some Like it Leathal. This book runs in the same vein. HOWEVER, from here on out the books are repetitious, the plots are plodding, the sisters lack depth and the romance betweeen Nora and Mick is on in one book, then off in the next and then on again in the next and so on. All of Nancy Martin's books are fun, fast and easy reads. They are entertaining, will make you laugh, and great summer books for relaxing. It is enjoyable to try to figure out Who Done It. Great characters.
