Editorial Review:

Product Description:
Growing up with Audrey Hepburn is the first full-length academic study of one of the most loved stars of Hollywood cinema. A study of both Hepburn's star persona and films, it is also an audience study, using interviews to explore accounts given by British women who have admired her in the 1950s and 1960s, and, more recently, in the 1990s.

Customer Reviews
Average Rating: out of 5 stars

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Fascinating feminist theory applied to Hepburn's persona
Evaluating the intersection between Hepburn's roles, persona, and her audience appeal, this fairly academic treatment teases out interesting themes. Although specific to experience of British women of "a certain age," the title adds to the analysis of Hepburn's oeuvre.
