Though lovely illustrations ultimately the book is a failure because of the gimmicky twinkling lights on the back inside cover. Worked in the store, but days later it didn't. Sort of tough to explain to a child that when it was bought it worked but they'll have to imagine it because now it doesn't. Somebody in production at the publisher should be very unhappy with themselves (or an overly ambitious editor with no real grasp of reality) for ever letting this onto the shelves. I bought this book for my 5 year old Granddaughter. When it arrived I decided to keep it at "Grandma's" house so that we could share the magic! Every time she comes over, we have to read the Fairy book! Grandma gets a double delight! The magic of the book and the sparkle in my Granddaughter's eyes as we read each page and come to the most enchanted ending!

My 3.5 year-old daughter and I are fans of the Fairyopolis books which have the fairy artwork of Cicely Mary Barker. My daughter loves the pop-up features and I've been on the hunt for similar books since. I came across "Flower Fairies: Magical Moonlight Feast" here on Amazon and decided to purchase it. It is a beautiful work of art with pop-ups and even light up features at the end.

This is the last book we purchased to complete the Ms. Barker Fairy series for my daughter.
This book is my daughter's favorite to read at bedtime. However with dimmed lights we thought the last page with the "blinking lightning bugs" just did not work. However the lights are activated via a solar sensor and must have rather bright light in the room to work. This is unfortunate sense the entire book hints at bedtime. This Flower Fairies book is just beautiful. I gave it as a gift to my 10 year old and she just loves it. A must have if you like fairies.
