Amazon.com: Delivering exactly what its title promises, this celebration of stupidity was Jim Carrey's 1994 follow-up to Ace Ventura: Pet Detective and The Mask. The film pairs the rubber- faced wacky man with Jeff Daniels as the not-so-dynamic duo of Lloyd and Harry, dunderheads who come into the possession of a briefcase containing ransom money that is intended for Mob-connected kidnappers. Lauren Holly costars as the woman who lost the briefcase, and with whom Carrey falls in love (both in real life and as his moronic on-screen character). As Lloyd and Harry make a mad dash to return the briefcase (never aware of its contents), the bumbling buddies attract Mobsters, cops, and trouble galore. This lowbrow laugh-a-thon scores some solid hits for hilarity, but with gags involving ill-fated parakeets, buxom bimbos, and an overdose of laxatives, be prepared to put your brain--and good taste--on hold. --Jeff Shannon

The unrated cut of the film is nothing special, but the retrospective interviews with most of the cast are very entertaining (especially Jeff Daniels).
The movie is just plain funny which has everything to do with the chemistry of the two stars. They play off each other perfectly and bring stupid, yet endearing characters to the screen.
Rated or Unrated, the film belongs in your collection.

Dumb and Dumber is pretty much what you'll get with this outrageous comedy from the Farelly brothers. Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels make the perfect dummies, who knew Daniels had it in him? Lauren Holly would later become Carrey's wife after this movie was released, but we all knew it wouldn't last. I like this zanny screwball comedy, you can't take seriously, it will swallow you whole, enjoy!

"Dumb and Dumber" - what a classic. The movie follows two friends on a cross-country quest to return a lost suitcase to the woman of one's dreams. It is often difficult to tell which is "dumb" and which is "dumber," because each scene becomes more ridiculous. This comedy will keep you laughing from the moment the first scene opens to the credits.
Truly, a must-see.
