I'm one chapter into this book and it's already earned a 1 star rating. The book briefly mentions how to use calculus in finding velocity and acceleration, but neglects to mention what the components of a distance function are and what they look like: initial distance, initial velocity, initial and initial acceleration. I'm not sure how they expect a student to figure this out without being told by an instructor? Chapters are verbose and often explain nothing in a lot of words. Example problems are ... Read More

I was not looking forward to buying my Physics textbook for college because I heard the prices were outrageous! Not only that but I needed the access code as well, but this user provided both the book and access code at a price much cheaper than my local textbook stores. The book arrived in perfect condition with the access code and all. Overall I am very satisfied.

I found the writing and coverage of the material a little more clear and easy to read and understand than another similar physics textbook that I'm using. That's a big plus.
Two big downsides:
There is an absurd number of mistakes in the answers in the back of the book. I have found mistakes in absolutely every single text book that I seriously work through, so some mistakes are acceptable, but this book definitely has the highest ratio of mistakes. I'd estimate that 15%-25% ... Read More

All physics books are hard. They require struggle to understand. This one gives you a very nice breakdown into basic principles. If you read it, read passages three times, sleep on it, and awake thinking "I get it, why didn't I see this before??" you will understand why this is really nice physics book. If you want to understand Feynmann's Lectures on Physics,Young et al. is a great preparatory text.
If you are a pre-med or other pre-health-major, or middling-university engineering ... Read More

Book as described (except that it was in black and white, which didn't bother me any). Shipped and received within 5 business days. Good purchase as it was half the price of the hardback.
