The hardware development in Magnetic Resonance Imaging technology seems to have slowed down. We now have equipment that is reaching maturity, or at least slowing down in terms of major breakthroughs. Note that this is the case in hardware. In software it is an entirely different picture. The basic analog signals that are comming out of the MRI sensors may have slowed down in terms of change, but the development of ever more powerful software has not.
