I've purchased this book for two young girls as gifts. At first I thought the book would be mostly about hiking, the outdoors, etc. but it is about a girl who wonders whether a lady-like princess would do things like skin her knees, have a messy room, do chores, etc. Overall, it's a cute story (told in rhyme) about all the fun and wonderful things in childhood that should be okay for any child to do, princess or not.

If you are an aunt on a mission (like me), you will not be disappointed with the charming text paired with equally charming illustrations.

The phrases ... Read More

What a perfect title and wonderful illustrations! Our 2 year old grandaughter loves this book and we do, too. Couldn't fit better for a little girl who likes gowns and also likes to hike trails with her Grandma and Grandpa. Thank you Ms. Coyle, for such a clever book.

very disappointing! a missed opportunity. don't spend your money on this book. check it out at the library first to see if you like it! books like this make me feel like i could be a children's author.
