Our family lives in a small apartment that features two fireplaces. One is located downstairs in the living room and the other is upstairs in the master bedroom. The master bedroom is where the computer is and as such the master bedroom is where I do the bulk of my writing much of the year. This book is a very complete book on fireplaces, but I feel the title is misleading. It should have been titled Design Ideas for Building a New Fireplace. There are numerous pictures of all kinds of fireplaces and luckily the photographs are fabulous (clear, detailed and varied in styles). Unfortunately, I found my eye wandering to the rooms and just kind of glancing at the fireplaces.
