Editorial Review:

Description:
Ash tries to get the soul badge at Fuchsia Gym, but the gym is a ninja mansion full of treacherous traps! Then, devious racer Dario has rigged the Pokemon race with his sabotage, wounding the front-runner, Lara! Can Ash ride Lara's Ponyta and win the race? A lost boy, Tommy, has been raised by the Kangaskhan to speak Pokemon language! Now Team Rocket is trying to trap the Kangaskhan, and only Ash, Pikachu and their friends can stop them, save the Kangaskhan, and reunite Tommy with his family!

Amazon.com:
The kids and their pet monsters have forsaken the city for the countryside in this trio of episodes from the animated TV series. First they stumble into a booby-trapped Ninja mansion in "The Ninja Poké-Showdown." The head Ninja challenges Ash to a "two-on-two" Pokémon battle, which introduces two forms of the insect monster Veronat. For a little dash of culture, evildoers Team Rocket appear in kabuki garb. Then it's on to the Pokémon preserve in "The Flame Pokémon-Athon!" in which cowgirl Lara (complete with Southernish accent) trains her protected Pokémon for the big annual race. Finally, in "The Kangaskhan Kid," Ash, Misty, and Brock help reunite a little Tarzan twin who lives in the wild with a pack of kangaroo-like Pokémon with his father, who accidentally dropped him from an airplane when he was three, and his mother, who, curiously, appears not to resent her husband's carelessness. This 75-minute tape will appeal to Pokémon fans of all ages; however, parents concerned about the fighting may want to wait until their tots are preschool-age to introduce them to the phenom that is Pokémon. --Kimberly Heinrichs

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - I agree with the editorial that syas first two are good but last is bad
The fist two episodes were great. I love the one about the race, when Ash rides Ponyta and it evolves into Rapidash. Lara was a great characetr and the episode itself was funny and exciting. The first episode is great as well; we ffinally learn that Psyduck is not a useless Pokemon. And it's fun as well.

However the last episode . . .

I know it's emotional and supposed to be sad, but I'm sorry, while watching "The Kangaskhan Kid" I was laughing. I mean, the parents are ... Read More

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - 3 TV Episodes
Includes Ninja Poke-Showdown (Ash tries to get soul badge at Fuchsia Gym-a ninja mansion), Flame Pokemon-athon (Dario rigs the Pokemon race, wounding Lara) and Kangaskhan Kid (a lost boy, Tommy, raised by Kangaskhan, is reunited with his family by Ash & Pikachu).

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - A cute video, but.......
This is sort of boring, too..........I'll check out some other pokemon videos....

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Two outta three ain't bad...
You know the drill, Pokemon is great, three Pokemon eps on a DVD/VHS, yadda yadda yadda. The first episode is "The Ninja-Poke Showdown", in which Ash sets out to win a Soul Badge from Gym Leader Koga, but he must first naviagate a mansion full of tricks and traps as well as deal with Koga's sister Aya (whom Brock immediately develops a crush for, of course). And naturally, Team Rocket has to butt in, with their most outrageous entrance yet.
Then it's off to the Safari Zone in "The Pokemon Flame ... Read More
