Product Description: Race your Harley across the country in a mad race to the mother of all motorcycle meccas - the Sturgis Bike Rally. You'll face challenging competitors, unpredictable roads, intense weather conditions and loads of obstacles.
Amazon.com Review: Harley Davidson Motorcycles: Race Across America is a game whose title says it all--players select a bike and then try to beat other riders in a highway race. This is a perfect choice for racing fans with fast reflexes and nerves of steel.
The fundamentals of driving are easy enough to learn in this game, but handling your Harley and maintaining a winning speed can be tricky. It is very easy to hit the ditch, oncoming traffic, or even your race competitors. Fortunately, there are no ramifications if you lose control and crash into a semi. Unlike the real world, all that is lost in a collision is precious time. Players must also budget crucial seconds to filling their fuel tanks--gas runs out fast and often.
Like many racing simulators, Race Across America offers real world course options, from Wisconsin--where the Harley Davidson company is based--to California, Utah, and Arizona. The scenery in these courses is rendered fuzzily, but that is unimportant. The terrain goes by quickly, and if you want to stay in the race, there's no time to admire the view.
Race Across America offers on- and offline play, quick races, and a tournament mode, where players spend race winnings to customize their hogs. After a few preliminary rounds, there is a final race in Sturgis, with a chance to win a classic 1956 KHK motorcycle. Are you up to the challenge? --Alyx Dellamonica

Really super way of touring America. However it is best to CHEAT a little! When driving Arizona, turn right just after the 'water bags' sign, roaring off road through the desert and it's pillars. Turn right again to get back on the paved road, at the red 'Therma Shave' signs, and you should be in first place to find the 'Seven Pillar's of Wisdom', with a fuel efficient fast bike. I won the Gold Trophy and a purse of cash too. Some programmers would have blown my tires off for this, but WizardWorks ... Read More

Looking for an ultra-modern, fast paced, exciting racing game with end-over-end crashes? Well this ain't it!
Looking to get over the winter blues because your hog is benched for the winter? This may help!
Race Across America isn't the greatest looking game and it certainly doesn't have the greatest playability but it does offer a brief winter reprieve. The backgrounds in the game are nicely done and with a little imagination you can picture yourself out cruising America's highways ... Read More

The playability is lame. The graphics are below average. This game is not even close to being realistic. The sound f/x are not good. F.Y.I. I am running a 700 mhz pentium with a voodoo 3000 16mb 3dfx video card.

All in all not a bad game. The tunes and sounds are good, but the graphics are pretty lame (real blocky) I loaded this game on my 2 computers. 1)Desktop - PIII 550 w/ATI Rage 128 graphics card - runs smooth in high detail mode 2)Laptop - Pentium 300 - runs slow, even in low detail mode You can choose from a few different bikes, colors, riders and routes. So, you won't be going on the same route everytime. Not too bad a game.
