I bought this for my 10-year-old son who loves sciene and taking things apart. I wasn't too sure about the kit when I ordered it but my son took to it immediately. There are 130 experiments and he went through about 40 of them the first three days. I thought he would burn out and told him to pace himself, but he just h-a-d to do the most demanding experiments.
I watched as he made all the connections. To me, it looked like a dreary task, but he liked it. It could take 10 minutes to connect ... Read More

This set has been around for a while, because received one for Christmas when I was 11. I worked as a computer maintenance tech in the Air Force, and as an electronics repair tech for several years afterward, and now I design and build guitar amplifiers in my spare time. I can say it all began when I received this set.
Not only did I do every project in the manual, but the set allows for experimenting on your own, so I never grew bored of it. It's not for every kid, but for a kid like me, ... Read More

My daughters love this kit. Every time tey open the box they try a different experiment. My job is to guess what sounds they are creating. It will certainly tap into a child's curiousity. I'm not sure if the toy had anything to do with it but my sixth grader got an A in science.

Bought this for my nine year old and he really loves this kit! The experiments give satisfying results for the amount of time spent putting them together. The electrical concepts are still a bit advanced but this is a great primer for further study into electronics.

I had one of these when I was a child and I thought that my daughter would enjoy it. When I received it I of course had to try it out and make sure it worked...brought back memories. It is a nice product for my daughter because it helps to to concentrate and it is a project that she can do on her own.
