Editorial Review:
Amazon.com: The series formula started to kick in with this immediate sequel to Lethal Weapon, but that doesn't necessarily make it a weak movie. Joe Pesci joins the fold, Richard Donner directs again, and Mel Gibson and Danny Glover return as LAPD partners, their relationship smoother now that Gibson's character has recovered from his maddening grief over his wife's death. But the reckless Mel and cautious Danny equation, good for a million laughs, settles into place in this story involving a South African smuggler and a new girlfriend (Patsy Kensit) for Gibson. The movie is hardly comfy, though. The last act gets nasty, and a climactic fight between Gibson (who gets the worst of it) and some high-kicking villain is ugly. --Tom Keogh

This one had a lot of what made the first one good (action and violence) but it got a little too preachy (dolphins and South Africa) and a little too Three Stooges buddy buddy goofy ha ha for me. Mel hams it up so bad that it is really obnoxious and takes away from the movie. And he and Danny Glover have developed a homoerotic love fest between them for this one. The villians are still good and the violence and action are still exciting and also the hot chick that of course is drawn to Mullet Gibson ... Read More

I have all of the Lethal Weapon movies & they're all great! Action packed movies that will make you laugh, make you cry & keep you on the edge of your seat. Mel Gibson & Danny Glover are both great actors that work magnificently together & seem to have a great working relationship. I don't think that a better duo could've been chosen for this series of movies! They go together like peanut butter & jelly. I'm so glad that these two played in all the movie sequals. It just wouldn't have ... Read More

Do you like lots of violence, steamy scenes, and going beyond police duties to get even with the bad guys? Then this movie is for you. The white South Africans are the bad guys. They dodge anti-apartheid protests, pay for drug deals with Krugerrands, hide behind their diplomatic immunities to avoid police action, and then bump off the police investigators one by one. One investigator's wife is murdered. Another investigator dies when jumping off a diving board that blows up. Still another must remain seated ... Read More

First of all, I love this movie. The first two Leathal Weapon movies are so good. It is so much fun to watch the two very different main characters work together. The movie is a bit dated, but not much, and it is wonderful to see it again, I haven't seen it in over 15 years.
Now for the Blu-ray itself. I can't say that I am impressed at all. If I was to rate just the picture I would give it two stars. I use a 40' Sony KDL-40W2000, a Denon AVR-2803 and a PS3, such equipment isn't exactly high end. There ... Read More

to me,this is a better movie than the first one.it's got much more
action,it's more exciting,and faster paced.it's also funnier.the
characters are better defined, and the storyline is better.i also think
this movie had a better villain than the first.this time, along with
Danny Glover and Mel Gibson,Joe Pesci is along for the ride, and
provides some laughs.also, there is more banter between Gibson and
Glover.the movie is just more compelling all around.the first one was a
bit ... Read More
