The "ring" is missing however...maybe it is on it's way to Mount Doom.

LOTR risk is one of the best strategy games I have encountered. It incluedes strategy theme based play and over all... It's Lord of the Rings! If you don't have this game you don't know what you're missing out on.

How much better could it get: Risk and Lord of the Rings together? Some drastic improvements in gameplay from original Risk and a great continuation of the movies if you're a fan of that.

If you are a fan of Lord of the Rings then I would highly recommend this board game. It offers a very exciting way of playing RISK in the LOTR world. It has special rules, and game modes that are taylored to LOTR which makes it highly addictive and extremely enjoyable for 2, 3 or 4 players. 2 player game are not out of the question and at times can be the most enjoyable. When I bought this for my husband at Christmas, I forgot that I would be the one that would have to play with him. 7 months later, I broke down and played with him.
What the other reviewers did not mention, is that the instruction book is 20 pages long. You need to read all 20 pages before playing, and in some places the rule book is incomplete along with confusing. We made up a few rules.
