Editorial Review:
Product Description: Your little motor man will be very busy with this K'Nex model kit that lets him build his own trucks, motorcycles and aircraft. The cool kit includes 400 colorful building pieces, as well as a spring motor that powers the models. Step-by-step, color-coded instructions show how to make 32 different models in a variety of themes. A plastic storage tub keeps all the pieces in one place.

Our son was building all sorts of creations with Legos, but this KNex set has allowed him to build to a whole new level. He now can make things rotate, and flip, and transform! This is a great set for a child 5 and up. Our son plays for hours in his room with this and doesn't get bored.

I bought this toy for when friend's kids come over to my house. This is an amazing toy. I even started playing with it because it looked tempting--and it is fun, even for adults.
It has lots of pieces, with directions for many models, however the directions aren't that important--its much more fun to just use the pieces and create, especially to a kid. Fun, fun, fun. The kids are busy for hours and they are using their imaginations. I just wouldn't be so enthusiastic about the 400 pieces -- some of those pieces are awfully small.

I bought this set along with another set. I think it wouldn't be as much fun without more sets together. I bought them for my nephews to play with when they stay with me. My 8 year old nephew really loves them. He would spend all of his time building different contraptions if we let him. He loves to show them off and have us take a picture of him with it. My 11 year old nephew just wants to play video games. With a little encouragement, he did start to build "Cars" and want to take pictures. The ... Read More

Purchased as a gift for an 8-year-old girl and her 6-year-old brother. They got right to work exploring ways to make the pieces fit. The 8-year-old has similar construction toys at school and chose a helicopter from the directions book. She loved the challenge of translating the 2- dimensional picture into a 3 dimensional object. It has provided the children with hours of quiet play time together and is a wonderful opportunity to visualize and interpret what they see. Later they began constructing ... Read More
