Editorial Review:
Description: A Thrilling, In-Depth Look At This Legendary Sports Car Returning from World War II, many soldiers told stories of the loves they'd left behind. For some, it was a mechanical sweetheart -- the European sports car. So, the nation was primed for the debut of the 1953 Corvette, a fiberglass two-seater that was the first mass-produced American sports car. The first car was more show than go, but over the years Corvette has evolved from a cute-looking roadster to the menacing Sting Ray, and now to one of the world's sleekest, sexiest and fastest high-tech sports cars. From sports cars to luxury cars, from foreign elegance to domestic muscle, Great Cars offers an in-depth look at the world's fastest, most expensive, most exciting and most unusual automobiles, along with the people who loved and created them. Bonus Features: Rare vintage programs including: Harley Earl Biography Hall Of Wonders: The First Corvette Zora Arkus Dunton And The Experimental 'Vette - 1957 The Aerovette 1954 Motorama Designed For Dreaming: 1956 Motorama Introducing The Mako Shark II Introduction To Corvette Fuel Infection - 1957

At $9.98 a low-cost item, but as the old saw says, you get what you pay for. It's simply too short and, as a result, not inclusive enough and has nowhere the detail a good Corvette history should have. In fact, I have a better detailed history of America's sports car in an old VHS history I bought a number of years ago. Simply stated, 55 years can't be adequately dealt with in half an hour.
