Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Prismatic
I ordered this for my daughter's sixth birthday. She's a rainbow nut and totally loves it! It mostly works the way the review states it should. However, the projector no longer turns on/off 'with the wave of your hand' and the 'bonus window prism disk for real daytime rainbows' was not in the box. I called the manufacturer as the instructions state and was told that the 'wave of your hand' feature was the first model and is no longer implemented to save battery life. I was also told that the disk ... Read More

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Good if it works
I recommend this but second the person who notes the mixed reviews and suggests you order from a company that has a good returns/exchange policy. This is fun if it works. Pros: small enough to fit on a nightstand (9" long and 4 1/2" deep at the base); an outlet allows the use of an adapter (not included); the rainbow is decent, good enough for a little one to enjoy. Cons: the rainbow is created by a set of 5 colored LEDs that project down from the arch onto a curved strip of reflective mylar, so it ... Read More

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Lots of ohs & ahs from the kids!!!
Works best at night or in a dark room during the day, but it can also be partially seen in low light situations. I would recommend purchasing a 40mm crystal ball together with this product so that you can enjoy rainbows throughout the day and at night. Together they make the perfect gift for the rainbow enthusiast like my daughter.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Rainbow Madness!!!
My daughter has to have this on day or night! I suggest getting AAA rechargable batteries! ROY G BIV!!!

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Rainbow in My Room
This isn't actually a toy, but rather a decoration, so I can't give it a detailed rating. I can tell you that it is small enough to fit comfortably on a nightstand, and it does project a detailed rainbow across a standard size bedroom. I have only 2 two small complaints. It requires almost complete darkness for the effect, and it doesn't have an on/off button.
