Description:
From the director of YOU GOT SERVED & HOUSE PARTY 4, comes this urban horror thriller on the order of CABIN FEVER, THE HILLS HAVE EYES, and WRONG TURN. SOMEBODY HELP ME delivers a chill a minute as the story revolves around characters Brendan Young,Marques Houston, and Darryl Jennings,Omarion,as they head off with friends and their respective girlfriends for a weekend stay at a remote cabin in the woods. After the couples settle in and start to enjoy the weekend, things take an eerie turn. On trips into the local town, they start to have strange encounters with some of the townspeople who seem a bit askew. One by one of group ends up missing or dead, while the dwindling group is forced to ban together more and more to figure out who or what is behind the killings. Ultimately, they discover even more than they bargain for in a chilling reveal.

I quite liked "Somebody Help Me".
It was more realistic than alot of the movies of this genre"my fav"..Both Omarion and Marques do a good job acting as does the rest of the cast.
It has some good gory kill scenes,a little bit of supernatural"I usually dont care for that in my slashers,but it works here".
and it deals with REALITY as far as when the teens bring up the question(Will the white town people and sheriff believe us ,we're Black)When wanting to report their freinds missing ... Read More

i wasn't expecting anything from this at all. i just wanted to watch something that had a little bit of suspense and scares in it. it had a bit more than that as the deaths were a bit much other folks might want to be wary of those. the story while nothing really special serves it's purpose. I can see why "Somebody.." was a DVD release and might be best watched via rent first. But check it out for yourself and then decide after that. Nothing spectacular or anything, but better than a lot of crap ... Read More

Cliche after cliche after cliche in Hollywood films is addressed. To be honest, I'm floored to actually see this movie here at amazon! I'm happy though, cause I get to bash it! Nothing at all was original...
*white girl is a "ghost" and helps Marques duck the doctor time after time "Duck. NOW!"
*guys (Marques and Omarion) get tricked into going to another's out of the way cabin, thinking the sheriff is there just cause there's a police car there

Thank goodness it was on tv and free vs. me buying it. I wouldn't recommend purchasing it. If you can see it on tv, do so just to see what I'm talking about. I like Marques & Omarion, but they should have chosen better scripts to showcase their acting abilities. The part that really kills me is that Marques' character is walking around with a police shot gun and doesn't use it on the killer. Hella STUPID movie!!!!!!

Do NOT spend $22 on this movie. I got a second-hand copy for $5 and I wish I could return it. I really seriously wanted to like this movie but it's like the writer went out of his/her way to make me hate it. The charachters in this movie are some of the dumbest people ever, and you just hope that the killer would go ahead and find them, kill them, and put them out of MY misery.
