Get a vintage slice of life from historic New Orleans with this DVD compilation of three digitized film reels featuring New Orleans footage from the 1940s. Table Of Contents: (1) New Orleans Carnival Week, February 22, 1941 and Parade of Krewe of Rex, New Orleans, February 25, 1941 (1940s) - This is a terrific compilation of amateur film captured from Mardi Gras in 1941, during the WWII era. Included is approximately 10 minutes of rare footage from the Parade of Nor and approximately 10 minutes of footage from the Parade of Krewe of Rex. There is no sound with these recordings, as the amateur equipment of the day did not record sound - 19 Minutes (2) March of Time: New Orleans (1940s) - This is a bizarre compilation of vintage New Orleans jazz club footage and camera shots on the streets of New Orleans. The cutaways don't make a lot of sense, but this one scores high in the "uniqueness" category! - 11 Minutes

This product should never be offered on Amazon. The visuals speed by at double time with no narration, no music, no sound whatsoever. Only rapid movement, and the music portion is so broken up and scratchy as to be unwatchable.
