Editorial Review:

Amazon.com:
A visit in Rhodes would be incomplete without a visit of the island. The legend of the formation of the island is mirrored in the founding of the three main cities we visit named, Ialissos, Kamiros and Lindos. Reaching a peak in the 6th century BC, they decided to form another city, Rhodes Town that became in times most prosperous than them. The most interesting of them all, Lindos, is a major tour destination and a visit to its castle is a must, the views conferred from its top being spectacular. Besides, its white washed houses, its central church with exquisite frescos and the old houses of the admiral converted in restaurants, make for a very pleasant stroll inside the city. The villages of the island are so remote that most of the times we may have been the only travelers. Emponas, Ajos Isidoros, Siana, are several of them, having beautiful squares in center where the tavern is always the focal point. We ended our day visit in the villages, at sunset, at the ruined castle of Monolithos.
