Editorial Review:

Product Description:
In this revealing program Elvis is given the opportunity to introduce the real man behind the on stage image. Through previously unseen and incredibly revealing footage and rare recordings we see a side to the king that only he could have known and only he could claim. Such as discussing his innermost concerns relating to his weight problems aspects of his love life and his thoughts regarding the entourage who slavishly catered to his every whim. As if this sensational material were not enough there is a collection of 18 tracks including the song he wrote for his mom I ll Never Stand In Your Way and Maybelline both of which are rare recordings and never before seen on DVD. Add to the Elvis music the Elvis spoken word and you have the makings of placing this title in a league of its own as a collection of the most sought after information and recordings of this iconic figure ever compiled. You ll find the contents of this DVD a revelation; and we can assure you this compelling and most informative of programs will provide a glimpse of an Elvis you knew but also a version he wasn t allowed to show. Rating: 3 out of 5 stars - Know What You're Bidding On
Ever heard of "selective seeing?" Well I saw what I wanted to see. I misread the title looking for the last unreleased Elvis Movie on DVD, "Elvis On Tour." I ordered two copies and to my displeasure they arrived and I read it correctly, "Elvis On Elvis." The film Elvis On Tour is still unavailable. Trying to make the best of this error, I opened and watched this DVD which boasted of having unheard and unseen Elvis footage. Wrong! This program featured some silent Elvis live performances overdubbed ... Read More

Rating: 1 out of 5 stars - Very Dissapointed
I was very dissapointed by this purchase. If you have any Elvis DVDs, you have already seen most of this.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Review on DVD about Elvis
This was a very good DVD and some scenes I had not seen before.

I enjoyed it very much but I enjoy everything concerning Elvis Presley!

Thanks for making it available!

Rating: 1 out of 5 stars - Wrong, Wrong, and more Wrong
Fred Rose and Hy Heath wrote "I'll Never Stand In Your Way". It was first recorded by Ernie Lee and then by Joni James in 1953. Elvis recoreded it on January 4, 1954, together with: "It Wouldn't Be The Same Without You" which had been written and recorded in 1950 by Stuart Hamblen.

The flip of "My Happiness" was "That's When Your Heartaches Begin". This was the record which Elvis claimed was for his Mother, NOT: "I'll Never Stand In Your Way".

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars - Elvis on Elvis DVD
This is not a review since I have not seen the Elvis On Elvis DVD yet. But I had to click on the rating to be able to send this comment. However, I want to clarify a statement made on the review given by Wijhe?, I believe. No, the song Maybelline was not recorded by Elvis in a studio but you can hear it quite clear on various CD's of his early shows, we are talking the 50's here. Many of the Louisiana Hayride songs were taped & are on CD's. He sang Maybelline & Tweedle Dee Dee quite often during ... Read More
