Product Description:
IS THIS YOUR CHILD?
These are the major symptoms of potentially unrecognized allergies. Does your child suffer from any of the following?
Allergic Nose Rub Eye Circles Red Ears Red Cheeks Eye Wrinkles Aggression Lack of Alertness Mottled Tongue
In this breakthrough book, Dr. Doris Rapp offers a simple yet effective approach to handling "problem" children. Is This Your Child? shows parents how to identify the common foods, chemicals, or common allergic substances that could be the culprits that cause some children or adults to feel unwell or act inappropriately. If your child is always sick, hyperactive, a slow learner, or cranky, the first question you should ask is not "What drug should be prescribed?" or "What have I done wrong as a parent?" Instead, find out the cause.
Dr. Rapp gives sensible suggestions about how these reactions to foods and environmental factors can be recognized, prevented, and treated. With this information, many affected children should feel, act, behave, and learn better. If you can detect unsuspected environmental illness in your child--or yourself--you can change your lives so you're more content, happy, and free of illness.

When my second child developed "classic" allergy symptoms soon after being born and nowhere to turn, a friend recommended reading this book. WOW! is all I have to say. I was blown away at how much it resembled my childhood. Not only that, but I recognized several of the allergy symptoms in my 2 yr old. Once I began to find out what my second child's allergies were and was able to remove them from the house, it became apparant just how accurate of a book this is. My daughter suffers from multiple ... Read More

I have worked with children and families for over 9 years as a Early Intervention Health Specialist. During that time Dr Rapp's book, "Is This Your Child?", has proven to be a valuable resource and reference.
Example: A parent was having behavior problems with her daughter. I loaned her this book. After reading this book and some discussion, she decided to have her daughter tested by an allergist. During the testing, nothing happened during the routine portion of the test. However, when the ... Read More

This is the fourth time I have purchased this book. I have given away all three previous issues to parents struggling with their children's needs. We were able to pinpoint serious allergic reactions our son was having and keep him away from those foods/additives. I would highly recommend this book to anyone whether they think they have allergies or not. It gives one the chance to understand what can trigger adverse behavior in children and adults.

Back in 1993 my mother saw this book and skimmed through it. She found several symptoms that I had been exhibiting. She took me to that allergist and found I was allergic to Milk, Corn, and Sugar. My allergist was so impressed with the study that he bought several copies and lent them to his other patients.
The book is easy to read and easy to understand. It shows that allergy symptoms can very greatly with every child. Even though the book was published in 1991, I still apply it to my diet to ... Read More
