The layout of PlayStation2's Dual Shock 2 controller is nearly identical to that of the original PlayStation's Dual Shock controller, which is good news for most gamers. The main new feature is that, when the buttons are pushed, the controller can register how much pressure is being exerted. This adds a completely new dimension to sports, racing, fighting, and more games. Aside from the Start and Select buttons, all of the functions are analog for greater control, a wider variety of operations, and a more compelling interactive experience. Two convex analog thumb pads and two force-feedback solenoid rumblers round out the features. This controller is also compatible with all software that supports the original Dual Shock controller.

Nothing great about it, its just another controller. If one of your controllers breaks just replace it with this one.

At this point in late 2008, Playstation 2 is nothing new. However, this is the first time I have had to replace my controller (I finally wore the other one out!). I ordered two recently at a great sale price (I ended up with two units for the price of 1 regularly. Free Super Saver Shipping was the icing on the cake.) I tried out a couple of generic controllers at a retail store recently and the buttons feel very cheap and less sensitive than these. I really couldn't image ever using another ... Read More

The PlayStation 2 Dualshock Controller Black is simply a must own devices for those who are purchasing PS2 bundles this holiday season. While some newer generation game systems have controllers that have improved slightly or added functionality, for the PS2 this original controller is still one of the better options.
