Rating: 1 out of 5 stars - One wasted roof here
This movie stank from the very beginning and never got interesting or possessed any redeeming value. Living in SF the idea of an Asian family dynamic appealed to me. The mother was the best thing in the movie, no wait, the grandmother didn't say much and was possible the actor in the movie- just out of default. The rest of the film, from the editing, sound, set design, actors all stank stank stank. No more articulate review is required for such a time waster.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Quirky and Funny
A nice love story. Really great independent film. Love shows up in the weirdest places and here, right in your basement. Don't miss out on this film. Very simple but has the major cute factor.

So there is only the mother-son conflict about the gay son shown. ... Read More

Flawed Sweetness

Amos Lassen and Cinema Pride

"Under One Roof" is a very sweet little film which is filled with sincerity and charm. The acting may not be perfect and the writing is uneven but it does depict honest pleasures in a very sweet way. There is humor as a result of inter-ethnic and gay situations. There is a great deal of quirkiness and insight that make this film a little better than some of the usual fare that we have seen recently. ... Read More
