I never grew up with Sorry and now that I own it I enjoy playing it very much with my four year old and his mother. You can be in last place and get a couple of good cards and be right in the thick of things again. Some people complain about not being able to leave home right away, but really it's not so bad and you can easily catch up.
I will say that this game has the most convoluted rules of any basic family board game that I've ever played. It is a lot of fun though.

I bought Sorry for our family game playing nights and I am not disappointed at all. Our 5 year old is able to play along with us, and the game is easy enough to follow so that he has the chance to win also. We have had a great time with this game! I would recommend this game to families with young children that want to play a game where everyone has fun...young and old.

This is a great family game of strategy! Our 6 year old takes great pleasure in trying to send her parents back home. Good game for counting and number recognition. Since it is a game of chance and strategy, everyone has equal opportunity to win, regardless of their age.

This is a fun game. It seems simple, the kid learns to play it fast, but it encourages thinking, planning, and strategy. It is also a great fun. My 7-year-old son enjoys it very much. Up to four players can play at a time, taking turns, so it's usually my son, me, my wife, and our cat. The good thing is that our son does not seem to be upset if he loses, as there is a lot of fun and ultimately luck that plays a big role, so you can be winning or losing until the last minute - therefore fun and intrigue are maintained until the last minute, while with other games it is clear who wins early in the game, and fun is lost.
The only downside is that the rules that come with the game are a little difficult to understand, there are some ambiguous instructions, but as you start playing, you figure that out using common sense.

This vintage game is a classic and the concept has not grown old. This game is such fun to play for people of all ages. I got this game with my 85 year old mother in mind, a game she remembers, and can have fun at playing.
