A good, decent score by John Williams. Some of his recent work isn't quite as great as his older stuff; classics like Star Wars, Jaws, and Raiders of the Lost Ark. But, this is still a great soundtrack, nonetheless. The Duel of the Fates is worth it alone. What I like most is that every single piece of music from the film is here. I feel that I'm often annoyed with other soundtracks that omit random tracks for whatever reason. Not the case here. It's all there.
Buyer beware, however, as this product is flawed. It took me two purchases and a little research to discover that every unit of this product has a gliche where discs skip. So, know that it's not just your particular item or the CD player. I'm not really sure why they would put a defected product on store shelves, and for a high price. So, if you're not too picky about having the soundtrack in its entirety, you might be better off getting the original edition instead.

This CD expands upon the 1999 album by presenting the music in a format that flows track-to-track for 2 hours. Recommended for fans of the 1999 edition, or those who want to hear more. If only the score for Episodes II and III get released in this format...

Most people will say that Episode One is their least favorite of all the Star Wars films. But John Williams composure for this one is second only to the Empire Strikes Back for the entire Star Wars trilogy. This extended version is a must have, it contains all the music from the movie. The entire fight scene at the end of the movie is included and its wonderful to listen to. I wish somoone would do the rest of the prequel trilogy like this CD. A must have.

I'm a very fan of Star Wars music, but this time, John Williams dissapointed me. i'ts not the music, but the order in which the tracks were labeled. just as it is in the movie.
most tracks are broken up, The Dwell of the fates is broken a hundred of times. and Anakin's theme is not in a separated track. There's no comparations to the first trilogy soundtracks, they're exaclty as soundtracks gotta be.
i owe the one disc version, though it has only 75 minutes of music, it's much more complete.
that's why this soundtrack was a low selled one.
they gotta do something if they want us to get the next ones. (or if they're planning to release them)
