Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Surprisingly interesting
Since there is almost nothing in either Matrix I or II but special effects (and asinine dialog like "you will know your purpose when you know your purpose"). Matrix Revisited comes off like Matrix' Greatest Hits.

Some may find Keanu in a bathrobe being chased by Max Headroom is entertainment--and to each his own. And I admit watching Lawrence Fishburn imitate Patrick Stewart is funny! But think of the pain if there were no effects in a movie like this. They deserve their own DVD and this is it. Well done.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Fantastic supplement to Matrix
I love "Behind the Scenes" footage, and this DVD met my expectations. It really goes down into HOW they made the movie; they cover the training, the journey to Australia for filiming The Matrix, visual effects, sound effects.

One really interesting feature was the bullet cameras, which is very, very new in Hollywood. Hundreds of cameras take still pictures (making it slow motion) while another swivels around. I hadn't realized the effort it took to film, say, Trinity's kick in the beginning of The Matrix, or Neo dodging bullets.

There are also several interviews with the actors themselves (Fishburne, Moss, Reeves, and Weaving-- in his own Australian accent, which I've never heard before.) and the directors, how they came up with this concept.

I really think this is worth watching.

Rating: 2 out of 5 stars - It's a "The Making of the Matrix" DVD"
I originally thought that this DVD would include "The Matrix" movie and have additional commentary along with the scenes as an option. Actually this is what would normally be referred to as the second DVD in a collectors edition DVD set. This DVD should be labeled as "THE MAKING OF THE MATRIX" and in my opinion not worth what is being charged. If your a film buff or are just a Matrix Junky, then this is for you. If you are expecting more than a just another "The Making Of" DVD with a few ad's for the upcoming parts of the trilogy, then forget it. Save your money. It's worth a few bucks, but it's not worth the as much as would be normally charged for the movie itself.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Love the Matrix? You'll love this...
One of the best and coolest documentaries I've ever seen. Anyone who loves the matrix, or loves 'technical but not overly technical' documentaries will love this.

One thing I love about Revisited is how much it feels more like a separate film from the Matrix; at the moment I'm watching Revisited more than the movie, and enjoy it every time.

Also, the movie is divided into chapters (just as every other DVD is...) except on this DVD, each chapter is a separate sub-documentary that focuses on a spacific aspect of the film (example: special effects, costumes, etc.) Come to a chapter on the DVD that you don't think will interest you? Hit the ol' skip button on your remote and you can go to the next fascinating sub-documentary.

Another thing I love about this is how much closer you feel to the cast and crew when you are finished watching this movie; you see how they think, train, work, film, imagine, create, design, build, and just about everything else that has to do with the matrix films (yes, it briefly discussed the trilogy near the end.) You feel higher than other Matrix nerds after you watch this simply because you know a few more random facts about it than they...and I love that feeling.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - FOLLOW THE WHITE RABBIT
I bought this DVD when it was first released but, for some reason, never watched it until recently. It is an excellent follow-up to The Matrix. I eagerly await The Animatrix DVD, the PS2 Matrix game, and the 2 new movies. There are 2 things that bother me about this DVD though. First, even though he isn't in the next 2 parts of the trilogy, it would have been nice to have at least one interview with Joe Pantoliano. Second, the True Followers section was a little bit creepy. All in all, a great addition to my DVD collection and a great way to stay hyped for things to come. I just wish I had the sunglasses concession for these movies.
