This was one of the movies that my wife and I had to get in a high definition format. The story is endearing and sufficiently sappy. The environmental message is gratuitous though understanding at the end. I was disappointed only that most of the extras were not in high definition and duplicated the same from the standard DVD version. Otherwise this movie is definitely recommended particularly to enjoy the surprisingly pleasant vocals from the selected film/music stars (plus tap dancing). Their voices add the soul to the high end computer animation that is a pleasure to see in high definition. Now how many follicles are bristling on that penguin?

It was a good plot but I personally don't think that there should be that much sexual content in a children's movie. It was an ok movie overall but if I had kids, I wouldn't let them watch it.

I came away thinking it is an environmentalist movie trying to push their issues through. I care about the issues but this is all too far fetched & unbelievable. Get real!

Based on the cover, it appears to be a "happy" children's movie. It is not! ... Following are some of the reasons: 1) I should have guessed the theme when I opened the box and found a "Seafood Watch" "environmental" initiative" brochure. 2) I could not understand the words spoken and sung by "African and Mexican penguins". 3) The animated "dancing" is poorly done. 4) It is a frightening movie, especially for children. 5) The theme is that American/white fishing companies are causing the starvation of nice penguins. ... It may be the worst movie I ever saw. ... Do not buy it! I'd like to get my money back.
