I laughed until I cried. The story, characters, costumes, everything are absolutely side-splitting hysterical. But more than that, the story and the characters have heart.
ABBA fans will love the use of their music in this movie, and viewers should definitely watch through the credits. "Saved the Best for Last" is right!

I was happy to find this movie at such a great price. The movie arrived later than expected, but the DVD case was undamaged in shipment and the movie is in perfect condition making this an overall good purchase.

This is a classic transvestite movie that sheds some light on Australia's unique view on the genre. It was fun seeing the likes of Hugo Weaving, before the Matrix and Lord of the Rings series, as well as Guy Pierce, before anyone knew who he was. Of course, then there is the classic Terence Stamp, in his most unusual role. What good sports these actors are! I really admire cross dressers who boldly display their artistic use of makeup, hairstyles and clothing. This movie sensitively brings the genre to the forefront, has entertaining songs, unique show girl costumes, and of course some bigotry for our "ladies" to overcome with style.
