This is one of my favorites movies, resolution is very good, and quality of product is excellent plus Zero handling Damage.
In overview this was a great purchase.

Starship Troopers gets no "respect" from serious sci-fi fans because of its paint-by-the-numbers characteristics. But, it's a rollicking, 1950's war movie right up there with the best ones by Cary Grant, John Wayne, Richard Widmark, and dozens of other actors who starred in Hollywood's re-telling of WWII. A British captain guides his capital starship, survivor of a dastardly sneak attack, on a hopeless quest to warn Earth of impending Doom and Destruction. And, you guessed it, a gifted young pilot volunteers to fight his way through hostile hyperspace. Will he make it in time? It's rock'em, sock'em, Saturday serial adventure! If you liked B-grade war movies when you were a kid, you'll love this one!

I am not sure if the "superbit" version is any better, but I like the movie anyway.

This film's tongue is obviously planted firmly in cheek, but it still manages to be emotionally engaging, and often spectacular. Some people have described this as a sort of freakish ultra-violent Aaron Spelling series, which is no surprise given Paul Verhoven's past borderline campy sci-fi efforts like "Robocop" and "Total Recall" and the inclusion of Beverly Hills 90210 regular Casper Van Dien as Mobile Infantryman Johnny Rico. If you like your teen-romance interspersed with exploding spaceships, brain-sucking arachnids and attempted genocide, "Starship Troopers" has something for you.
The film centers around three high-schoolers from Buenos Aires who decide to join the Starship Troopers to fight a bug invasion in order to be granted citizenship. Along with Rico, there is Denise Richards ("Wild Things") as Carmen Ibanez, who joins Fleet Academy to become a starship pilot. Richards' features are so stunning I sometimes think she has to be a robot. The DVD's special features are good enough to include a cut scene of her in black underwear. Neil Patrick Harris ("Harold and Kumar Go to White Castle") plays Carl Jenkins, who is assigned a position in Games and Theory to learn how the cockamouses think. The three of them decide to remain friends no matter where they go, and the film follows them on their violent separate courses until they come together for the final battle with the bugs. They keep fighting, and they win.
