I like the actors in this film......and I guess I like them so much I am willing to forgive some flaws in this movie. Adam Sandler does a pretty good job but, some of his dialogue just doesn't "cut it". The story never really reaches past the obvious and that is why this film never rises above mediocrity. It may grow on me......only time will tell. It's a film worth watching but, it could have been great. The DVD transfer is very good with minimal extras.

I have watch this movie over 6 times already. I think the movie concept is excellent. I believe Adam Sandler, Don Cheadle, Liv Tyler, Jada Pinkett Smith, Saffron Burrows, Donald Sutherland, and Mike Binder, et al were great. It does a great justice to the surviving victims of 9/11 yet it tells a deeper story about 2 men trying to find themselves. I especially like the indifference that these two men are of different race. Finally, I love the music chosen and the would love to have a scooter like the one in the movie.

Grief is an experience in life that we all hope to avoid, but all experience. The natural grief pain is the loss of grandparents, parents and later in life, siblings. The grief of losing a child/young spouse is a private and painful club. Adam Sandler depicts the grief of losing his wife and 3 daughters in this profound film. Who dares to make a film about grief? I am thankful that so many people lacking compassion and empathy will finally have a glimmer of understanding if they see this film. I will never be the same after the loss of my young daughter in the most traumatic manner. Blessings to those who made this incredible film !!

Great movie and great soundtrack - Adam Sandler and Don Cheadle (one of America's best and most underated Actors)are great as the former college roommates - Well worth seeing
