Rating: 3 out of 5 stars - Scene it movie edition
got this for my adult children since they are movie buffs, was under the understanding it was about the movies...but i guess its a lot about the behind the scenes type stuff too...like directors and who won what award for writing and so on...should have been more on SCENE's from the movies etc...oh well, stick it on a shelf i guess somewhere... realy would not
reccommend it to others.
waste of good $$.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - We had a blast!!
I played "Scene It?" last night for the first time, and we had so much fun that we ended up playing four games. To state the obvious, this game requires some understanding of movie trivia, so folks who don't like movies won't like this game. But if you're a movie buff or just a casual fan, there is much to enjoy with "Scene It?"

There were several strengths of this game. The question cards have several different types of questions, but I was especially impressed with the variety of questions that were available on the "My Play" and "All Play" categories from the DVD. Though we struggled a bit the first time we encountered a particular type of question because we didn't know what we were being asked to do, it was fun to be asked questions about every aspect of movie history. Sometimes we had to finish a quote or identify some movie sounds or observe the details from a classic scene, and we were asked basic things like actors' names, character names, directors, and movie titles, as well as more particular pieces of trivia.

I was also pleased that the game did not show a bias towards a particular era of cinema history. We were asked questions from movies as old as the original "Sabrina" and "12 Angry Men" to more modern films like "Shallow Hal" and "The Pursuit of Happyness." For those of us who enjoy movies from all eras, this game works very well.

My primary (and relatively minor) complaint about the game is that the Buzz cards were really cheesy. I also thought that the games ended a bit too quickly, even when we played the extended version, though I'm sure that other folks (with shorter attention spans!!) will appreciate the short game length.

Overall, we had lots of fun. We laughed a lot and were challenged to remember movies that we haven't seen in years or even decades. For anyone with an appreciation of movies, I'm happy to recommend this game!!

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Nice starter game
The game is a nice introduction to the family of Scene-it games. I was a little disappointed at the difficulty level of the questions. I felt that the first version of the game was much more challenging, but this would be a nice way to introduce someone to the game. Overall it is a good game though. Enjoy!

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - gift
This gift was for a bridal shower. It was on her registry. The item came in plenty of time and was in the condition stated which was excellent.
