Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - best Horror/Drama/Comedy/Bruce Campbell movie ever
This is A must have, is one of the best movies and a great favorite of mine, dont get me wrong, I'm a big fan of Bruce, but this one in particular, is one piece of gold, its has great lines, elvis and JFK and pretty cool,
This a cheesy movie, with great great hearth, and thats what's matter the most.
Forgive my English, I'm from Mexico and we don't Speak English nor write it.
In few word...BUY THIS DVD¡¡¡¡¡¡¡
LONG LIVE THE KING

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars - A Bruce Campbell drama - pretty good
I just got done watching this movie and came on Amazon to read the other reviews. The review by Kendal (BEK) is the most comical review I've ever read. This person has reviews about French books and plays in his listmania yet felt the need to review a B movie with Bruce Campbell. First of all, who ever on God's green earth has ever watched a B movie and expected a serious and believable plot? B movies are my favorite and I've yet to see one that has a believable plot. Let's see - Maniac Cop (a movie about a disfigured massive man who somehow didn't die after a prison fight and goes around killing people for fun - yep that's believable). Street Trash - a movie about Viper liquor that when drunk turns the person into multi-colored slime (yep another believable plot). Brain Damage - a movie about a parasite that feeds the host psychedelic drugs in exchange for human brains (another believable plot). Dead Alive - a rat monkey bites a woman and turns her into some kind of psycho zombie / monster that the son keeps locked up in the basement because it's his mum after all (oh yeah another believable one). The Toxic Avenger - a skinny guy falls into toxic waste and turns into a big brute that goes around stopping criminals (ahh yes, very believable). I could go on and on. The point is B movies have never had any basis in reality and no B movie that I've ever seen has had a plot based on believability and to rate a B movie based on it's believability is the work of a what I call a pseudo-intellectual. You know the type - they sit around in Starbucks and drink $4 cups of coffee having driven there in their 8 MPG vehicle all the while complaining about the gas prices and the economy.

The point of B movies is that they are cheesy and that's what gives them their charm. Bruce going down the hill and not having any sweat on him - THAT WAS DONE ON PURPOSE!! I'm amazed that someone would review a B movie based on plot holes and its lack of believability when the whole point of B movies is to be unbelievable and really cheesy. Wow, there's few people on this earth that have ever missed the point as much as Mr. Kendal. Now this movie was more of a drama than a comedy or horror like other Bruce Campbell movies so people coming in are probably expecting something quite a bit different. But as far a B movies go this is an average or better movie with some great acting and good dramatic elements (in the typical B movie style). Again, WOW on the missed point by Kendal. Funny how this person says he's going to be attacked by "believers" when obviously most of the people watching this movie are understanding ahead of time what type of movie they are watching and this person is out in left field. If I watched Shindler's list and complained about the lack of comedy that might equate to how badly the point was missed here.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Pleased
I was very pleased with this product. I was upset I had to return it due to some miscommunication

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - The King of Rock N' Roll vs. The Mummy...with a little help from JFK
Bruce Campbell plays a slightly deranged, former Elvis impersonator (or is he, as he claims, really Elvis?) who is spending his last days at an old age home in Texas. He teams up with another senior citizen at the home, a Black man who thinks he's JFK, to take on an Egyptian mummy that has been killing residents and sucking out their souls for sustenance. (I kept waiting for Jim Morrison to make an appearance, but he does not....)

This somewhat strange comedy isn't for everyone. If you like independent, off-beat films such as Jim Jarmusch's early comedies or Andy Kaufman's "My Breakfast with Blassie," then you should like this flick. BUBBA HO-TEP is destined to become a cult classic (if it isn't one already).
