True Elvis fan's movie, Joy to watch and listen to the king sing in his prime!

This was his third movie. Not much of a movie but the jail house rock number rocks. I actually enjoyed watching this movie more with the commentary on because this is realy more a nostalgic look at Elvis the movie itself is not that great. But Elvis fans will love the picture and sound quality and commentary.

THE IMAGES AND SOUND ARE THE BEST OF ANY RELEASE OF THIS CLASSIC FILM--- ELVIS COULD HAVE BEEN JAMES DEAN IF HIS CAREER HAD GONE IN THIS DIRECTION--- IF YOU WANT TO ROCK THIS ONE IS FOR YOU--- THE BEAST LINE REMAINS THE GREATEST ONE-LINER OF THE KING'S 33 FILMS....

I just received my copy of Jailhouse Rock and it is spectacular. Warner Home Video is to be highly commended for a first class job. This dvd deserves 10 stars not just 5. All thy need to do now is do the same thing with That's The Way It is and Blue Hawaii. I bought my HD DVD because these movies came out on high definition.
I could not recommend it more highly. See my review on Viva Las Vegas. It is of the same quality for Warner Home Video. It is as if the movie were just made this year and not 50 year ago.

One of Elvis' very best films ( I know that's not saying much but this IS a good one)...and its been upgraded substantially by Warner Bros from the previous edition.
the bonus featurette is okay...could have been much better with more artists and less "writers" as talking heads...Russ Tamblyn was a nice addition!
an all time Rock movie classic ...and from my standpoint a must own..
