My daughter has loved this game ever since she was 2 (though I wouldn't recommend it to anyone with toddlers who put things in their mouths, there are small parts), she is now almost 5 and still not tired of it. We have a lot of games in the house, and this is the one she consistently wants to play and all her friends consistently pull out during playdates. She loves to pretend she is picking fruit to make a pie, or to give to someone who is ill. I love that it is cooperative, everyone is just trying to gather as much fruit as they can before the raven appears, there is no competition as to who got the most fruit, although I suppose you could play it that way if you wanted. We also really love the shape of the wooden fruit (my personal favorite are the cherries on red yarn stems), very simple and yet realistic enough to make good fuel for little imaginations. My only complaint is the baskets that you put the fruit in, while very charming, aren't very durable, we're currently down to only two, but like I said this game has really been played with, and actually we got it secondhand to begin with. Just make sure you don't let anyone step on the basket or it will be destroyed. Also the plums roll all around the board, we usually use one of the baskets to keep them on their "tree" (which means we really only have one basket left to play with.) Overall though a very good toy that I would definitely recommend!!!
