I really like Mario Kart, so before it was out I tried this one. I now have Mario Kart and love it, but this one is different enough that I still love to play it. It is a nice work out for your arms, and is lots of fun. Different tracks and technique than just racing.

this game although very interesting requires a lot of energy and co-ordination. you need to swing your arms up and down vigorously in order to move fast enough and this can get very tiring and loose it's fun appeal very quickly. if you're only looking for a racing game, get mario kart instead. loads more fun and easier to play.

My grandkids have really enjoyed this game. I have a 10yr old grandson and a 5yr old granddaughter and both of them love this game. It is a great game for all ages and requires some stamina and coordination. I would recommend this game to anyone with kids.

This game is the most exhilarating racing game I've ever seen! It's moves are high-tech and the fun is endless! That's what I love about this game! There are 16 different courses to choose from. You can play as 16 characters from the Donkey Kong universe.
There are eight kongs (Donkey, Diddy, Tiny, Dixie, Lanky, & others). There are also eight kremlings (Kritter, Kass, Kip, Kallypso, King K Rool, & others).
Althought most of these characters have to be unlocked by beating cups, but that only makes it more fun! I highly recommend this game to those who love racing!

My fiance got me this game for Xmas and we had just received a Wii from her parents. We played for quite a few hours the first few days and I was pretty impressed. The gameplay is a lot like Diddy King Racing for the N64 and pretty much removed the RPG element. The game keeps you up and moving and the variety of elements on each course keep you into the action every lap. My fiance is not the best at video games so she was happy just running into things and coming in last. I am very competetive and found myself doing pretty well from the start. The game does get more difficult though and I had to repeat races a few times. One additional nice feature is that you are given a letter grade for each race at the end to match up with your time. This was helpful on Rookie level especially since you dust the competition and have no idea whether or not you did well. This didn't get 5 stars because I would have liked to see more of an RPG element to even tie the races together. I like games to sequence the races as if you are getting better or advancing toward an end goal. This could partly be because I am a big fan of the Donkey Kong series since it was turned RPg on the SNES and I have become used to it. The racing, though, is worht the buy on its own.
