This is my first PSP, and I admit I have been hesitant because of what I perceived as the lack of good games. The fact that it plays video, MP3s, can get you an the Internet and so on weren't huge selling points to me. That all changed with this version that comes bundled with "Star Wars Battlefront Renegade Squadron." I'm a big fan of the Battlefront games, and the fact that PS3 isn't worth the money made this an easy purchase decisions.
The PSP itself looks great. Ceramic white with a black Darth Vader on the battery cover. Very cool. It is easy to use, light weight, and while you can't play out in the sun without some kind of glare reducing filter, the screen is crisper than it has any right to be.
The game itself is a blast and the best Battlefront game. Playing it online with others (and not bots) was exceptionally exciting. (There's nothing like firing a wrist rocket at a hiding Darth Maul who then promptly pops out from behind the pillar he was using to take cover and whips his double-bladed lightsaber at you. Good times.
Besides a battery and charger/adaptor, this system comes with nothing else. You have to buy a memory stick and case (which I highly recommend). And as for reports of pieces not being put together very well, I have had no issues with that. In fact, just a few days after getting it, it fell out of my pocket. The case hit the floor and opened as it bounced in the air a bit. The PSP came out and hit the floor. Nothing came off, nothing opened, and it works fine.
This is well worth the money, and just recently the PSP became the best-selling handheld system in Japan. With the games set to come out, it will soon be that way here.

I got this for a gift for my boyfriend for Christmas. He loves it.
Great set to travel with and play in the car.

I had the original PSP, very sturdy and downright portable gaming to have. Unfortunately mine broke and to spend another 200+ to replace....not!! Now Sony brings out the Star Wars limited edition; any true fan cannot pass this up. At first holding of the item, I thought I got swindled. Felt like someone just took the insides of the machine and left the shell. Same great perfomance of the original but so much lighter. Although it doesnt feel as sturdy as the original but within minutes of playing; you'll forget about the PSP of old. In a nutshell, to replace a broken PSP or acquire for the first time, this is it. Especially with free shipping and no tax....

I bought the system for my 11 year old son. He loves it. He has had every hand held gaming system they make and we are very pleased with the graphics and the ease of the system. The ability to get on-line is a bonus. He really does not utilize the music and picture capabilities. The only thing I suggest is to add a screen protector and get a carry case to protect the screen because it does not close to protect it.
