Cutest movie I have seen in years. I am an animal lover so I was in heaven watching this. I hope everybody, from 2 years to 90 years watches this. Such an enjoyable movie.

This movie was very thoughtful in how it presented itself. Morgan Freeman as God is a wonderful choice of character. The movies theme throughout is, when you are asked by the Almighty to do something, you put everything aside and do it. Great family movie, some good laughs, and very thought provoking.

I enjoyed the movie, especially the picture and the next gen options that we could not have with regular SD DVD.

Great movie. Watched it several times with different family members. Adults who are familiar with scripture will laugh out loud at the comparisons. Kids, and adults not familiar with scripture, will just completely enjoy it. Refreshing change to some of the "trash" that is being put out these days.

First, let me comment on the High Definition version. After every HD DVD I watch it is so hard to go back to watching regular DVD. If you have to choose between watching this in either format, go with HD DVD without hesitation... the quality difference in video (not so much sound) is well worth any added cost.
As for the movie, I loved it. First, it was every bit as funny as the original one if not more. The actors did a phenomenal job and it is one more reason why I love watching Steve Carell. Morgan Freeman makes an awesome "creator of us all" and the addition of Wanda Sykes added a lot of comedic value to the film. In fact, most of the laugh out loud moments involved her comments throughout the show.
I appreciated the fact that this movie seemed to be written with the family in mind. It really struck a cord with me how the script focused a lot on the importance of family and sticking together. Which is why I was a little befuddled by some of the comments in the show. When the youngest kid made a comment about a duck's private parts I just cringed knowing that my son had just watched that. I just had to shake my head and question why that line was put in there. It wasn't that funny -- except the shock value might have made a few people laugh -- and it didn't add any value to the plot or story. I thought they had handled not crossing the line of mocking God until the very last line of the movie when God gives us a "new commandment." Again, not funny though it was playing with a gag that had made its run through the movie. I just wish that if they were going to make a movie for the kids (which I think is GREAT and preferred) then make sure the entire script reflects this. It might be one reason why the movie didn't resonate with critics so well. At least the humor was much better contained than the first movie, Bruce Almighty, with its extremely crude humor and the guest appearance of the dreaded 'F' word.
This movie was very enjoyable and my son wanted to watch it again the next day with his friends, which doesn't happen often.
