Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Webkinz Reindeer
My daughter loves all the animals in Webkinz World. She enjoys visiting the website and playing with all her animals. I'm sure she will be adopting more pets to play along with her Christmas reindeer. Webkinz are soft, cuddly, and are great friends.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Webkinz Reindeer
This Webkinz Reindeer was the perfect gift. She has a plush toy to play with and a computer game to log onto. Love the computer sight. It is a safe place for kids to play by themselves or with others. Highly recommend!!!!

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars - Buy the toy rethink the webkinz site
Update 2-15-08
Webkinz seems to be really trying to do a better job. The site seems to be doing better. I have notice that they are down for repairs from time to time and I got a call from them.

Original Post:

The toy is nice, and well made.

But Webkinz site. After all that is why we bought the toy to begin with.

But I'm getting ahead of myself. I'll take a few steps back.

You should have seen it. There was a daughter at the kitchen table with her new Webkinz toy. She had it all set up.

The laptop and Webkinz site logged on, her new Webkinz animal facing the monitor. Every thing was laid out perfectly and ready for some fun and a adventure. Anyone could see her joy.

Things where going very well, and we where happy to see her really enjoy herself and gain some understanding on the computer to boot.

But soon problems began. Earned items began to vanish. webkinz dollars began to go missing. Log offs and drops became more and more common. Games would lock up or parts of the game would freeze. Bad site?

So as other have stated, that picture of our happy little girl, as you can see, began to shrink and get smaller and smaller. Those sounds of joy changed. and that picture began to be replaced by a look and feeling of frustrating.

She began to feel, as most would feel, frustrating.

To say the least, we were very disappointing by technical problems that seem to only increase as the site becomes more popular.

And customer Service is "REALLY" none existent other then a drop down list of questions and answers. And it is limiting in it's uselessness.

We have even found that the email system seems to be designed to be a number of loops to keep customers from contacting them.

The point goes on and on.

But with out getting to long here, the site has a feeling of bug ridden and has many problems. And Ganz, the parent company of Webkinz, doesn't seem to care.

We have contacted them 4 times by phone and twice by email. No replay as of this review.

All in all I would say the toys are well made but the site has problems. Maybe it is a great way to teach kids how to deal with disappointing feelings that get bigger and bigger as they look into a none responsive screen as parents try to make it feel better.

Rating: 1 out of 5 stars - Stupid Toy
My kids got this toy along with about 10-12 other gifts for Christmas. As usual, on Christmas morning my kids rip their toys out of the packaging and wrapping paper and then we clean everything up before heading out to Grandma's house 3 states away. Now that we are back in town after 4 days, we want to figure out all of toys and decided to get to get my daughter's webkinz adopted. Now we come to find out that we probably misplaced the special "Secret Code Tag". Well that's the end of the story for this toy. Beware, you can't do anything like register or play with the pets online without the "secret code tag". And the company cannot help you if you lose the tag code.

Now my child and I are very frustrated. Why did they not just put the code on the fabric tag, or just attach the secret code tag more firmly to the toy? I don't understand why the company can't provide another code help if you lose the code tag. It's a stupid stuffed animal for crying-out-loud, not classified military intelligence!

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Christmas Reindeer
I purchased this item for a Christmas gift and the little lady who received it was very happy. Product was like expected and was really cute. I know she will enjoy using it on her computer.
