I am one of Nancy's fans that found her music after she had already passed away and it broke my heart to realize that I would never be able to be in the audience at one of her concerts and experience Nancy's amazing singing in person. I have searched on the Internet for years hoping to find even a snippet of video showing Nancy on stage casting her spell over the crowded room but alas my online searching was futile at best.
Well at last we now have some of Nancy's various live performances on this one DVD that covers her career starting in the early years and moving up to only weeks before her tragic death from cancer. Even that close to her passing Nancy's voice is still just as intimate and nuanced despite her bodie's diminishing strength.
Such a loss. Nancy left us her musical legacy though in the form of her CD's and now DVD's so that all of her fans - old and new can enjoy the many pieces of 'ear candy' that Nancy presents to us through her singing.
I would say that this DVD is the best place for a new fan to start their collection of Nancy's music since it has so many songs on the DVD and covers the length of Nancy's career from beginning to end.

True, the videos are of varying quality but it so doesn't matter....just the chance to watch Nancy sing again is worth every moment and every cent!

As a lifelong Nancy Lamott,fan,that was lucky enough too see you in person in her last live performance.This is a very special treat for me.Seeing Nancy again,even in these live performance,is such a treat for me.I will miss her talent and her voice always.Thanks for this amazing dvd treat.Nancy Lamott,too me will always live on in my heart,Thanks too her family,for allowing us too enjoy her very special talemts once again,This is a must buy too all her fans. I saw her perform many times, at the Algonquin and Tavern On The Green, and she was always wonderful, warm and believable. The sound and video on this disc are not always the best but they are still cherished by those of us who were so moved by her. This is better than holding on to a memory.
You see Nancy growing up from a chunky teenager to a lovely woman with a remarkable voice. It's so sad that her life ended at the peak of her vocal abilities when she finally found her style and her true voice.
