It helps to be a Bruce Campbell fan in the first place, but I found this book hilarious. Have to believe Bruce was "expanding" on the experiences he had researching a character role. If his life is truly that weird...well...what can I say? Great read if you just want to smile awhile.

Make Love (etc) is purportedly an account of Bruce's attempt to make a movie called "Let's Make Love" with Richard Gere and Renee Zellweger. Told in a conversational style, it details Bruce's encounters with actors, agents, producers, and security personell. It starts off like a 'behind the scenes, making of' book, but soon rolls over the top and becomes sort of an adventure story of its own, ending with Bruce being persued by various local, state, and federal agents, to a final shoot-out at a fan's house. For fans of Bruce Campbell, Hollywood insider doings, wry humor and just plain strangeness.

After Bruce's success with If Chins Could Kill: Confessions of a B Movie Actor the B-movie actor went on to make another hit. Make Love! is what Bruce himself calls an auto-biographical novel. This book is about him, in his own life, but most of the events never happened. This is what makes this read fun. It is a "what-if" kind of book. However, unlike Chins, this book is mostly just for fans. If you are unfamiliar with his work, you may find this book to be "uninteresting" to say the least. Although, even being the mild Campbell fan that I am, I still found this a joyful read.

Bruce's books are as amazing as his movies. Lots of laughs, very intellegent, and written in only a way that Bruce Campbell could do with a story only Bruce could cook up. Just as good as "Chins"
