Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Aptly named...
Bella is a "beautiful" little film, and not just in name. Its soft, quiet, understated declaration of passion about life-sized problems that don't have neat, tidy answers is a breath of fresh air. The last quarter of the film almost carries the subtlety too far, but it pulls out just before the crash and burn. I love the way Eduardo Verstegui tells the story without preaching. Even though diverse opinions are portrayed about such things as guilt, work ethics and abortion, the viewer can understand and relate to everyone involved. It's so much like how life really happens, sometimes, they could have called it "Bellissima", but that wouldn't have made such a great name for a little girl. Caveat: Watch with a box of tissues.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - A five-star love story that brought tears.
I know what the fuss was all about. My friend recommended the movie Bella. The fuss: Winner of Toronto's Internation Film competition. Very high (sometimes number one) rankings in several big movie-ranking websites. I enjoyed every moment. There were many times when I was moved to tears. It was such a wholesome movie without bad language or sexual situations. I'll share this movie with as many friends as I can.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - An original movie.
No wonder this was tops at the Toronto film festival! It is a very sensitive movie, well acted and well scripted. It seems disjointed at times but then you realize that it is only to make you think along with the story.

It is different enough to make it stand out from the usual fare and i don't think the actors needed the f-word at any time. Quite an achievement!
I rate it 41/2 stars.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Beautiful, uplifting film
This is a beautiful film and it was a treat to discover a contemporary film that is upbeat and honest, yet full of solid, good values and one I could recommend to anyone. The acting is excellent and believable. And Eduardo is a real hunk!

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - I love this movie!
Bella is my favorite new movie, I love it! I watch it with everyone that comes over - it is a beautiful story that shows how life is a precious thing. No swearing or sex scenes, a good family movie for all to see. I highly recommend it. All the extras on the DVD are awesome too.
